Counsellor Required: Stoke-on-Trent, Staffordshire £30,000 – £35,000 FTE per annum (depending on skills, experience & knowledge)
This is a permanent, full time vacancy that will close in 25 days at 23:59 GMT. The Vacancy We are seeking a qualified counsellor to be part of an established Counselling & Emotional Support Service, based within the Wellbeing Centre at the Dougie Mac Adult's site.
You will provide counselling and support to people experiencing a wide range of psychological and emotional difficulties relating to palliative illness, loss, grief and bereavement. Within the established counselling team, you will be expected to work collaboratively to support the trainee volunteer bereavement counsellors on placement in the service.
You will be a confident and competent practitioner, offering a blended therapeutic approach to your work with patients, their families and carers, which may include children and young people (16 years and above), across the Community and Inpatient Unit services.
You will have excellent communication and organisational skills with a motivation for continual learning and development. You will be expected to share your skills and knowledge within your team, across the Hospice and with patients, families and carers whether this be in a one-to-one or group setting.

Salary: £30,000 – £35,000 FTE per annum (depending on skills, experience & knowledge)
The role will require a professional affiliation to a membership body (e.g. BACP, NCPS).
The role will require a DBS check which would be processed and paid for by the Hospice. A full driving licence and access to your own vehicle is desirable.
