Overview: Compass Associates is excited to be recruiting for experienced Counsellors on behalf of a leading Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) provider.
This rewarding role offers the opportunity to provide immediate emotional support to individuals across a variety of sectors, with a focus on mental health and wellbeing.
Working within a hybrid model, you will deliver support via a 24/7 helpline and have the opportunity to take on structured therapeutic sessions once post-probation.
As part of a highly supportive team, you will be guided by a team of experienced managers and clinical experts, ensuring the highest standards of care for clients in distress.

Key Responsibilities: Provide immediate emotional support to clients via telephone, web chat, and email.
Assess clients' needs and provide appropriate guidance, with the potential for crisis management.
Take on therapeutic sessions with clients, offering structured counselling once probation is completed.
Manage and de-escalate high-risk situations, ensuring client safety through proper risk assessment.
Collaborate with your manager to address critical cases, including liaising with emergency services if required.
Access a wellbeing room for debriefing following challenging sessions.
Work within a team structure that includes both on-site and remote counsellors.
Essential Requirements: A minimum of 12 months post-qualification experience in counselling (non-negotiable).
A minimum of 150 hours of adult counselling (this can include qualification hours).
Level 4 Counselling Diploma or equivalent.
BACP Registered (or equivalent membership: NCPS, IACP, UKCP, BABCP, COSCA).
Experience managing suicidal ideation and trauma cases.
Must be within a reasonable commuting distance to Manchester.
Flexibility to work evening and weekend shifts Working Hours & Hybrid Model: Office Hours: 7am to 8pm, with shifts spread across the week.
Full-time: 3 days in the office, 2 days working from home.
Part-time: Flexible hybrid working options.
