Venn Group is working with a renowned broadcasting corporation to recruit for a Corporate Tax Finance Business Partner on a 2 month interim contract.
Key responsibilities of the role: Provide advice relating to the corporate tax issues of the commercial business Support with HMRC enquiries Support and review the year-end tax provisions, including deferred tax Manage the full technical review and authorisation of corporate tax returns, with an oversight of global tax compliance Provide updates and recommendations to the business on new legislation relevant to the management of corporate tax Provision of direct tax input to wider initiatives including Senior Accounting Officer requirements Represent the organisation with all external agencies in its dealings with corporate tax Provide proactive and pragmatic direct tax input on new initiatives, business line expansion and strategic plans Work with members of the wider finance community to promote and share best practice, including effective governance, risk management and development of financial policies and procedures Ideal candidate profile: Professional accounting and/or tax qualification ACA, CTA or equivalent Experience working with cross-border organisations and managing global tax risks Understanding of appropriate processes and controls required in a global organisation, for the management of taxes Experience of UK corporate tax compliance and group tax reporting under IFRS, FRS101 and FRS 102 Strong analytical skills and ability to identity improvements to processes and controls Excellent time management and communication skills Agency reference number: J79260 Location: Central London Duration: 2 month initial contract, with likely extension Pay rate: £600-£650 a day (paid via an Umbrella company) Working pattern: Hybrid (2 days a week in the office) Working hours: 35 hours a week Start: ASAP This vacancy will be actively shortlisted so early applications are encouraged to avoid missing out.
