As a Clinical Practice Facilitator, your role will be to influence the quality of the clinical learning environment by providing support, educational input, and development activities for mentors and students within HCA Healthcare UK Nursing, Allied Health pre-registration, and post-registration clinical education programmes.
This role aims to enhance the quality of the practice learning experience and positively contribute to the future nursing workforce by addressing the education and training needs of the nursing workforce and the full range of professional groups.
What you'll do: Identify existing and potential learning opportunities for students within HCA Healthcare UK facilities.Contribute to the identification, selection, and evaluation of practice placements available within a range of provider organisations.Develop communication networks and close working relationships with managers, mentors, practice placement areas, and Higher Education Institutes.Explore and develop opportunities for inter-professional learning.Contribute to curriculum developments ensuring they support the principles of work-based learning and respond to clinical need.Work in collaboration with senior staff and mentors to develop their role in the practice placement setting.Participate in the development and preparation of new mentors/preceptors.Teach on the HCA Healthcare UK accredited Preceptor course.Manage and support the HCA Preceptorship, OSCE Programme & Student Nursing Programme.Work with facility educators, staff, and preceptors/mentors to ensure students receive induction and orientation.Participate in facilitating feedback to the practice placement area and HEI following student evaluation of their practice placement experience.Contribute to the ongoing evaluation and development of the post.Develop the adult surgical clinical training provision for HCA UK facilities and clinical skills competencies.Be a competent IT user - all MS office packages.Able to design and create a full range of training materials using a multi-modal training approach.Contribute to the annual learning reports on the role for relevant stakeholders.What you'll bring: Demonstrative experience of working as a clinical educator.A registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council.Educated to first degree level (or working towards).Post registration experience in critical care and surgical nursing with a post-graduation certificate in education and a recognised mentorship qualification.Extensive knowledge and experience of working with OSCE and Preceptorship programmes within a large corporate healthcare organisation.Recordable teaching qualification (or working towards).Evidence of ability to present material appropriately in various settings.Experience and commitment to education in practice.Administrative and coordination experience.A methodical and organised approach to work with the ability to multi-task.Good problem-solving skills with the ability to use initiative.Ability to maintain confidentiality.Good written and verbal communication skills and an exceptional ability to influence and manage stakeholders.Strong attention to detail and a lateral thinker.Demonstrates a positive attitude to work and a good work ethic.Be a competent IT user - all MS office packages and ideally LMS systems.Able to design and create a full range of training materials.Why HCA UK?
