The business is planning to double its capacity and is committed to ensuring that energy from waste becomes an integral part of London's energy supply.
Its innovative carbon capture and storage programme is set to reduce carbon emissions for several million people in London and the South East.
The company is keen to hire a Communications Manager, with exceptional writing skills and meticulous attention to detail, coupled with strategic nous to pick up and run with a range of communication challenges.
The role reports into an exceptional head of corporate and public affairs, who believes the sky's the limit in terms of promoting the business externally and internally, and is looking for a smart individual, probably with an agency background, to work with her and the CEO to broaden the communications potential of the company.
A significant responsibility will be to develop internal communications across a number of channels, seeking out stories to build stronger stakeholder relations and deepen employee and customer connections, as well as helping proactively deliver media relations, an active events programme, social and digital output and generally engaging with all aspects of the communications plan.
The charm of the role is that sector knowledge is not a prerequisite, nor do you have to have previous internal comms experience.
It's about attitude and willingness to learn, being quick-thinking and committed to delivering high quality work, and having an interest in the commercial and political landscapes.
The communications team is small but highly effective, so you'll need to have the stature to operate at Board level and the desire to get stuck in.
