What You'll Be Doing We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced individual to lead the management and development of our Bereavement services which include both the Inner North Coroners' service and the Camden Public Mortuary.
In this key role, you will ensure compliance with legislative requirements while developing strategies, policies and service plans to deliver outstanding services on behalf of Camden residents and bereaved families.
You will also oversee a broad range of projects, programs and initiatives to enhance the delivery of an equally broad range of services within our Public Safety Division.
You will become an integral part of the Public Safety Management team and will influence the sustained development of a best practice-based approach towards the delivery of community safety, emergency planning, public protection and environmental health related services.

We are looking for a candidate with proven management and service improvement experience, with a strong understanding of the legislative framework which underpins the delivery of public sector bereavement services.
You will have a strong track of record of highly effective project/programme management and an ability to communicate effectively in order to enhance our approach towards the delivery of services in partnership with a range of statutory agencies, internal council departments and community organisations.
You will enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment which prioritises the needs of residents and communities to deliver high quality front line local services.
