We offer beef and lamb products ranging from retail ready cuts for butchers' counters to branded packaged meat, all as part of our service; raised on open pastures, sourced from local farmers and hand-selected by our master butchers, we produce beef and lamb products with integrity and unmatched quality assurance. We are recruiting for an experienced Canteen Chef to work in our busy kitchen in our manufacturing site in Merthyr Tydfil.
This is a full time, permanent position working Sundays 6.00am to 1.00pm then Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday 6.00am to 4.00pm on an hourly rate of £11.94.
Requirements Role Purpose To be able to prepare and cook food in a busy canteen, giving the employees and excellent service when they come in to the canteen to eat.
Role Requirements The ability to prepare and cook food in a busy environment ensuring high quality and consistency in the final product.
Being able to work the daily operations of a kitchen, handling and preparing raw and cooked food in a canteen environment.
Maintaining a clean environment and all times and adhering to Health & Safety policies.
Be able to follow the procedure to reduce food and waste.
Be able to work as a team player and also use your own initiative.
Ability to work under pressure.
