An exciting opportunity has arisen for a motivated and flexible individual to join our dedicated catering team at Seaforth House as a Cook.
Duties include preparation, cooking and serving of a wide range of meals, including therapeutic diets for residents in the care home ensuring the products are aesthetically presented and that they follow menu choices that respond to the feedback and preferences gathered from residents, staff and visitors, dietary requirements and correct portion sizes at all times.
You will be responsible for ensuring the catering department adheres to safety and hygiene standards.
Knowledge of HACCP and COSHH is desirable however training will be provided.
This is a full time permanent post of 37 hours per week, covering a 7-day rota.
This role does not meet the eligibility criteria for a Skilled Worker visa or a Heath and Care Worker visa.

This reduction will also be applied pro rata for part time staff.
This advert and any subsequent offer/contract of employment therefore reflects the new working hours.
However, as not all service areas will be able to adopt the 37 hour working week immediately from 1 April 2024, you may be required to work up to an additional 30 minutes per week for a temporary period for which you would be paid until the service you are working in changes rosters or working patterns to accommodate the new reduced working week.
