We are looking for a Cook to deliver high-quality, nutritious meals to our residents, enhancing their comfort and happiness.
Day-to-day of the role: Provide a diverse menu offering choice, seasonality, creativity, and nutrition, ensuring high quality in every meal served.
Continuously interact with residents to tailor food services to their preferences and dietary needs, using their feedback to inform menu adjustments.
Manage meal delivery times efficiently, offering a range of options for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Ensure the kitchen operates to high standards of hygiene and safety, complying with environmental health regulations and internal policies.
Maintain rigorous records management for kitchen operations including temperature checks, cleaning schedules, and stock levels.
Oversee kitchen budget, stock control, and staff management, ensuring minimal wastage and optimal resource use.
Occasionally serve food directly to residents, ensuring a pleasant dining experience.
Required Skills & Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years' experience in a busy kitchen environment, delivering 50+ covers with responsibilities including menu setting, purchasing, and stock control.
CIEH Level 3 in Food Safety or equivalent qualification.
Proven ability to manage a budget, a small staff team, and maintain compliance with health and safety regulations.
Strong initiative in resolving issues and adhering to correct reporting procedures.
Must be able to work on a rota basis, including evenings and weekends.
