AdvertEDUCATION, LEISURE AND HOUSINGCorporate Catering - Glaitness School Cook 21 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Term TimePermanent£28,535 - £28,747 pro rata / £14.79 - £14.90 per hour (including Distant Islands Allowance) Applications are invited from motivated individuals to undertake duties as cook, working with the cook supervisor you will be assisting with the provision of the school meal service at Glaitness School.
Duties include preparation, cooking and service of food, supervision of staff, menu planning, ordering of provisions, ensuring all aspects of service provision complies with food safety and completion of associated records, cash handling and liaising with school staff, parents, and pupils.
You must hold an Elementary Food Hygiene Qualification or equivalent and a food preparation qualification such as NVQ level 2, C+G 706/1 +706/2.
This post is subject to membership of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme in respect of regulated work with children.
You should be able to travel efficiently and effectively between work locations within Orkney to meet the operational requirements of the Service.
