Your background as a Control Systems Support Engineer: An Electrical Engineer / Electronic Engineer / Control Systems Engineer / Systems Engineer with previous experience of working on the development of safety control systems or PLC control systems or SCADA or HMI, or very similar engineering systems.
The role focus is to provide high level engineering technical support to customers technical support involves system modifications, upgrades, testing, fault finding, maintaining, and commissioning support of safety control systems.
Customers are typically within the petrochemical, oil and gas, chemical, power generation, nuclear and rail sectors.
You will hold a relevant qualification (Apprenticeship, HNC / HND / Degree) in an engineering discipline.
Control Systems Support Engineer responsibilities: Work closely with customers to provide technical support in connection with modifications, upgrades, maintenance, and repairs for existing and new safety control systems / PLC control systems.
Liaise with customers to establish their safety systems requirements and assess/interpret to provide practical solutions.
Design of changes to software and/or hardware for modifications.
Supporting the design and management of new build systems.
The role will be predominantly based in the office but will involve some UK travel to customer sites.
