Contracts Technician - Carrier ToBAs - ARD1043870 Purpose of the Role This exciting remote based opportunity has arisen to join our Counterparty Contracts team who have an expanding portfolio so there are exciting opportunities and challenges now and upcoming.
This role will deliver effective and compliant onboarding and continued management of Carrier relationships including oversight and management of the onboarding process, ongoing due diligence of existing relationships and responding to business and regulatory changes impacting trading agreements.
What you will do This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities.
Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more.
Manage, control and administer the Carrier Terms of Business Agreements (ToBAs) within Insurance Broking and to ensure that all information held is accurate and that it meets all regulatory requirements.
Onboard new carriers including completing agency questionnaires, reviewing requested documentation, performing due diligence and obtaining relevant approvals from internal key stakeholders.
Negotiate ToBAs to ensure they are comparable with the company benchmark template.
Deal with queries from internal and external sources including mergers and acquisitions, company name changes, general queries on clauses, addendums, novations and variations.
Supporting the onboarding and ongoing management and administration of Delegated Underwriting Authorities (DUAs).
Support the Line Manager with internal and external audit requests in a timely manner including sourcing relevant documents and information.
Who we are looking for We are ideally seeking someone with previous experience in a financial, insurance, compliance or legal role who is an organised, confident, motivated individual with a keen eye for detail.
You will need to be able to prioritise your own workload, be proactive, focused with a positive customer services attitude.
You will be able to build relationships easily with internal and external stakeholders, be able to work under pressure and demonstrate integrity and assertiveness.
Excellent communication skills, ability to use your initiative, be adaptable and resourceful are all key skills required.
