As the Contracts Manager , you will manage M&E and facilities projects from cradle to grave, including planned mechanical maintenance, installation, project design, project valuations, and reporting on budget spending against budget.
You will be the single point of contact and focus for the engineering team and customer throughout the project, maintaining key relationships, managing costs and timescales, offering customers the best solution for their requirements, and managing the progress of all projects from tender to completion.
This opportunity will be based in the businesses Stoke on Trent office, and will involve travel across the Midlands and North West of the UK visiting various sites.

The role of Mechanical Contracts Manager will include: Become a single point of contact and focus the team throughout delivery, as the project lead.
Develop and maintain key relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure consistent service delivery.
Carrying out project valuations, variation management, and ensure correct contract knowledge to understand standard construction contracts and processes.
Management of sub-contractors commercially, ensuring sub-contract orders and procurement processes are followed.
Day-to-day management of labour resources and sub-contractors.
Frequent reporting on project spending against budget.
Site surveys covering new and existing installations.
Tendering for new works and developing new client relations.
Health and Safety planning/management.
What we need from you?
A background in mechanical engineering, gas installation or facilities management.
Proven experience in a similar contract management role C&G or HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Qualification.
Health & Safety related qualification e.g.
SMSTS, CSCS, IOSH.
A Project Management qualification would be desirable, however this is not essential.
Ability to secure new business opportunities.
