The Company
Are you an experienced Contracts Manager looking for a change? Look no further! We have an exciting opportunity working permanent for a groundworks and civil contractor. If you are a dedicated Contracts Manager with a passion for delivering high-quality results, we want to hear from you.
The Role
As a Contracts Manager, you will play a pivotal role overseeing multiple projects in various stages of pre-construction and construction, from planning to handover. You'll manage every facet of the contractual side, focusing on delivering projects on time, on budget, and to the highest quality standards.
Manage and oversee groundworks and civil works projects. Collaborate with project teams to ensure accurate cost forecasting and budgeting. Conduct regular site visits and liaise with project managers to monitor progress, ensuring outstanding delivery that reflects the company's reputation. Monitor progress, quality, and health and safety compliance. Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources. Oversee the purchase of materials and equipment in line with a procurement assistant. Hire, manage, and lead a team of construction workers and subcontractors. Drive site construction progress, ensuring a strong focus on safety, quality, and schedule. Ensure that various construction teams have the capability to execute assigned scope in a safe, secure, and cost-effective manner in accordance with the cost, technical, schedule, and quality baselines. About You
You must have a proven track record of working for a minimum of 3 years in a similar position within the construction industry. Proficiency in handling groundworks and civil quantity surveying projects. Experience in working within groundworks and concrete. Strong health and safety/quality knowledge (tier 1 level). Willing to travel and work away. Client-facing experience/pre-construction ideal. Excellent communication and negotiation abilities. Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards. Self-motivated and effective use of initiative. Strong reporting and problem-solving skills. Apply & Rewards
For your skills and experience, our client is looking to pay an excellent yearly salary of around £55,000 to £65,000 basic plus Car / Truck + Package + Bonus.
