This role will drive accelerated progress across multiple areas, ensuring alignment with business objectives and clear communication on deliverables and outcomes.
The Strategist will be responsible for developing a sales-focused strategy with a granular understanding of our client's positioning, channel-specific goals, and content needs.
A particular emphasis is placed on audience engagement, a streamlined digital journey, and performance measurement.
Key Responsibilities: Market and Business Understanding: Develop a deep understanding of the business's positioning, unique offers of each property, and the booking cycles per city.
Ensure all strategies reflect an understanding of property differences, room types, and the competitive student accommodation landscape.
Marketing Strategy and Campaign Planning: Develop a high-level marketing strategy to drive sales for the 25/26 academic year, outlining clear goals for each channel Establish a channel-specific campaign plan that includes paid media, social media, influencer collaborations, and student ambassador initiatives.
Define key messaging, timelines for branding and messaging evolution, and collaborative goals for campaign execution ( (Working with our design team) Digital Experience Enhancement: Work alongside our UX strategist on evolving strategy for the website and digital journey, collaborating with the client's web development agency to enhance user experience, introduce digital tours, and support interactive live Q&As.
Channel Audit and Performance Optimisation: Conduct a comprehensive audit of each marketing channel to assess current performance, set targeted benchmarks, and identify areas for new opportunities.
Create a plan for implementing impactful initiatives that will drive visibility and engagement across channels.
KPIs, Reporting, and Measurement: Develop and refine performance metrics, reporting frameworks, and data analysis to track and communicate progress.
Ensure consistent updates are provided with a focus on accountability and results.
Team and Client Collaboration: Regularly meet with internal teams to maintain momentum and communicate updates on all deliverables.
Engage in face-to-face meetings and site visits as required to fully understand client needs, support content creation efforts, and foster collaborative relationships.

Market Insight: Ability to quickly gain in-depth knowledge of market dynamics, booking trends, and differentiators to inform strategic direction.
Digital and Social Media Expertise: Demonstrated expertise in digital marketing, including channel-specific strategies across social, paid media, and organic channels, with experience managing influencers and ambassadors.
Content Strategy and Creative Collaboration: Skilled in content planning, working with creative teams to execute high-quality content that reflects the unique offerings of each property and aligns with strategic goals.
Data-Driven Decision Making: Proficiency in defining, tracking, and analysing KPIs with a focus on sales, conversions, and channel performance.
Familiarity with creating clear and actionable reports.
Website and UX Optimisation : Experience in digital journey optimisation and UX planning, particularly for booking flows and audience engagement based on GA analysis and other methods.
Capable of leading end to end strategy and collaborating with internal teams at Make to support where needed Project Management and Collaboration: Strong organisational skills to manage complex projects, drive accountability, and communicate progress consistently.
