We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and successful delivery of large-scale IT infrastructure and operations projects.
It requires a strong background in IT transformation, cloud adoption, and vendor management, with a proven ability to lead cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality results.
In this pivotal position, you will be responsible for overseeing the complete project lifecycle, from initiation through to closure, ensuring that key objectives, timelines, budgets, and quality standards are consistently met.
You'll collaborate closely with technical teams, business stakeholders, and third-party vendors to drive successful project outcomes.
Key Responsibilities: Project Lifecycle Management: Oversee the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring that all stages from initiation (defining objectives and vendor selection) through closure (ensuring governance compliance) are completed successfully.
Project Planning & Execution: Lead the creation and maintenance of detailed project plans, define scope, estimate resource needs, and develop clear migration strategies.
Ensure project timelines, costs, and quality requirements are managed effectively throughout execution.
Technical Delivery Management: Ensure comprehensive technical delivery across all areas, including service integration, security, GDPR compliance, and legacy system decommissioning.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management: Maintain strong relationships with business and IT stakeholders, manage project risks, and facilitate key decision-making processes.
Manage vendor selection and performance, ensuring adherence to agreed contracts and addressing performance issues when needed.
Financial Oversight: Control project costs, ensuring that financial discipline is maintained and projects remain within budget.
What You'll Bring: Proven Experience: Extensive background in managing large-scale IT infrastructure transformation projects, including on-premise data centre upgrades and cloud adoption.
Technical Expertise: Knowledge of IT strategy implementation, security hardening, performance optimisation, and disaster recovery.
Experience with IT service management processes (especially ServiceNow) is a strong plus.
Project Management Certification: Certification in methodologies such as PRINCE2, Agile, or similar, along with a strong understanding of both waterfall and agile approaches.
Strong Leadership: Outstanding leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills to drive teams and projects forward.
Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage complex relationships and create transparency across all project phases.
Industry Knowledge: Experience in the energy sales and energy trading industry is a plus.
