Our customer, an IT services and consulting company is looking for a Contracts Manager for a 3-6 month contract role.
Job Description: We are seeking a Contract Manager with a minimum of 2+ years of experience in contract management and administration.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing various aspects of the contract lifecycle, including drafting contract summaries, administering contract-related processes, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution and compliance.
In this role, you will work closely with stakeholders, legal teams, and other internal departments to ensure the successful administration and resolution of contract-related matters.
You will also be responsible for negotiating commercial terms, ensuring alignment with business objectives, and fostering a clear understanding of contract obligations across the organization.
Key Responsibilities: Draft Contract Summaries: Create clear, concise summaries of contracts, highlighting key terms, conditions, and business objectives.
Contract Administration: Maintain and update control logs, account setup checklists, and other documentation related to contract management.
Issue Identification & Escalation: Spot contract issues, escalate concerns to legal and relevant approvers, and manage the resolution process to mitigate risks.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as a liaison between stakeholders to clarify and address key business issues in transactional agreements, with a primary focus on the sell-side.
Commercial Updates Management: Effectively manage the process of updating commercial terms in service orders, addendums, and master agreements.
Contract Negotiation & Drafting: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial terms for new or amended service orders, addendums, and master agreements.
Interpretation of Contract Terms: Assist in interpreting commercial contract terms and conditions, ensuring all parties reach a mutual understanding and agreement on terms.
Ongoing Contract Monitoring: Oversee the ongoing fulfillment of contract obligations throughout the contract term and ensure internal stakeholders (approvers) are aligned with company policies and requirements.
Training & Awareness: Facilitate training and awareness programs for internal teams involved in the contract process to ensure a clear understanding of contract obligations and compliance requirements.
Qualifications: Experience: 2+ years of contract management or administration experience, preferably in a corporate or transactional environment.
Skills: Strong understanding of contract law, commercial terms, and business practices.
Excellent drafting, negotiation, and communication skills.
Ability to analyze and spot potential issues in contracts and escalate appropriately.
Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple contracts simultaneously.
