Advert Aquatic Engineering & Construction; part of Acteon Group, is a global leader in laying and retrieving flexible and semi rigid products from the seabed in support of the renewables, oil and gas and telecommunications markets. The company has proven ability in shallow / deep water, and extensive experience of off and onshore installations, transpooling, recovery and decommissioning.
Aquatic are looking to hire a Contracts Manager on a full time, permanent basis. Based at their facility in Aberdeen, the Contracts Manager will be responsible for overseeing all phases of the contractual compliance activity pre and post contract award, focussing on customer satisfaction, business development & profitability of Aquatic.
Duties & Responsibilities
•Conclusion of contracts prior to work commencing and in accordance with the Authority Matrix
•Co-ordination of Acteon referrals for contract approvals with Managing Director authority
•Build strong relationships with clients at all levels.
•Promote Aquatic's wider capability in the resolution of client issues to add value and grow business.
•Optimise the approach required for each individual and promote trust.
•Review Client and Supplier Contracts and compile Contract Risk Profiles.
•Highlight key risks to Management and managing these appropriately.
•Draft contract clauses to secure Aquatic's base case position, in the negotiation process.
•Focal point for all Global contractual queries.
•Review Tax Clauses and liaise with Finance or Acteon Tax Adviser where required.
•Build international network of Contracts / Commercial personnel within Acteon and utilise specialist support where required (i.e., Group Risk Management and Insurance Coordinator)
•Develop and maintain commercial risk overview document for doing business Globally.
•Own and conduct internal audits on internal risk management process.
•Undertake internal audits to monitor compliance with Aquatic Commercial policy / process and provide feedback to continually improve.
•Develop and coordinate NDA, MOU and LOI activity for the business.
•Ensure adherence to the requirements of the Aquatic Safety Management and QA Systems in the undertaking of duties.
Required
•Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Business Admin Contract Law or a technical subject.
•Considerable, demonstrable experience in an offshore industry contractual/commercial role
•Demonstrable experience leading a team.
•Experience in Marine Engineering and Construction, in particular flexibles, flowlines, risers, umbilical's
•Project Management training – PMI or APM accredited desirable but not essential.
•Relevant Engineering Degree or equivalent technical qualification with industry experience
•Training within; Commercial Awareness, Contract Management, Financial Awareness, Sales for non-sales Managers, Customer Service, People Management
