Job summary This is an exciting opportunity to join a developing servicewithin the Community Directorate.We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated registerednurse educated to degree level to join the adult bladder and bowel service.The base for this post will be Innovation House, BishopAuckland, this is a Countywide Community post so locality work will be required according to service need.This role involves a mixture of working within clinics, home visits, care homes and officeenvironment.The post will allow you to work in a specialist service anddevelop specialist skills / knowledge and expertise in bladder and bowel dysfunction.

Youwill make a valuable contribution to the way local bladder and bowel services are organised anddelivered in order to provide high quality, cost effective services to people living in County Durham andDarlington.The role is supportive of family friendly hours workingpredominantly Monday to Friday (day hours, eg: 08:30-16:30).
Main duties of the job The successful applicant will have a passion for deliveringhigh quality care to people with bladder and bowel dysfunction.
You will be dynamic and caring withexcellent communication skills as patient education and support is an important component of the job.Prior experience and an indepth knowledge of issues incomplex bladder and bowel dysfunction is essential as is the promotion of continence care.Working autonomously to triage, allocate work tasks, adhereto dealines in order to provide high quality evidence based care.Experience of change management, quality improvement processand recent on going nursing development is a requirement.Knowledge of budgetary control, IQEW and clinicalsupervision is also a requirement of the post.Clinical community experience would be desirable as would aknowledge of appraisal and HR skills, but not essential About us If you are being interviewed you must accept an interview slot in the system to continue, even if you have arranged with the managerYou must be able to produce ALL certificates stated essential in the person specification or you will not be able to complete pre-employment checksWe provide hospital services from two acute sites - Darlington Memorial Hospital and University Hospital of North Durham.
