Lightspeed is looking for a results-driven, strategic British English writer to be the voice of Lightspeed for the hospitality industry in The UK region.
As a key member of Lightspeed's dynamic in-house marketing team, you'll deliver content for a range of projects on multiple channels.
You'll be the go-to expert on Lightspeed's suite of software solutions for restaurants, supporting the hospitality marketing team with campaign ideation and execution, editorial planning and additional initiatives that expand our reach into new and existing markets.
Your work will have a direct impact on positioning Lightspeed as the leading commerce platform for restaurants.
You'll be responsible for: Delivering highly polished, creative and impactful copy that supports the go-to-market strategy, multichannel marketing activations and product launches.
Managing and executing the content calendar for your specific region and industry (blogs, social media, events, customer stories, bylines, etc.)
to support marketing and PR needsLocalising material from other English-speaking regionsDeveloping a good knowledge of our key products, customers and businesses, and building strong relationships with internal stakeholdersWriting and managing content on our website, ensuring it follows style guidelines and making recommendations for improvementsOptimising content performance with guidance from acquisitions and marketing leadsStaying up to date on hospitality industry news and trends You'll bring to the team: 1-3 years of experience in SAAS marketing, copywriting or journalismBachelor's degree or equivalent experienceExcellent people skills and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, from sales to product to supportAbility to take complex concepts and explain them simply and brieflyOutstanding writing skills and incredible attention to detail Ability to poke holes in copy—including your own—and iterate quicklyKnowledge of social media platformsFamiliarity with content management systems like WordpressA passion for hospitality or a willingness to learn more Even better if you have, but not necessary: SEO knowledge What's in it for you?
