Job Title: Content Researcher and Data Analyst Job Type: Full Time Location: Bristol Overview We are looking for a bright, hardworking and confident team member with an excellent ability to learn quickly and with excellent research and data manipulation skills to join our ever-expanding Lead Generation Agency in Bristol. You will collaborate with a Content and Research Analyst to establish topics for research and write up briefs for the marketing team, as well as collecting, manipulating, and cleaning data to be used in marketing campaigns. We are a start-up company staffed by young professionals, owned and hired by a successful Corporate Exhibition company called Fortem International. This setup gives us the flexibility to implement our own best practices and be highly adaptable yet have the safety blanket from our parent company.
Responsibilities Research: Identify sectors and people who would benefit from our services, write up briefs for the marketing team.
Acquisition: Gather large datasets of relevant records from an external data provider (Apollo.io), or Web scraping with the tools of your choosing. (we use Python + BeautifulSoup and Selenium)
Processing collected data using Python (pandas, numPy) or excel VLOOKUP. Creating macros/scripts would be beneficial as many tasks have the possibility of automation. Uploading the data onto our CRM system where deduplicating/record linkage needs to be performed to avoid duplicates.
Fundamental understanding of Python: Except applicants to have a basic/intermediate ability to write code in python, up to and including the ability to use functions, I/O and write short programs of ~100 lines.
Libraries used in our current day-to-day include: Pandas, Requestsand Selenium.
Training will be provided in order to: Develop API wrappers We maintain a number of asynchronous API wrappers in Python and the ability to contribute would be a plus.
Write reusable and efficient code To create code that can be incorporated into other projects and adhere to company best practices and version control.
Improve existing processes and explore new ideas You are encouraged to review the current practice of your role and suggest/implement improvements and explore new areas that would be beneficial to you and the company.
Key Skills/Experience Required: Strong analytical skills to analyse and optimize campaigns; must be able to use gathered data for strategic planning rather than only data reporting. Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal skills required to interact effectively and professionally with internal and external parties at all levels. Having a good research ability is key to finding good quality data. Being able to research a topic and pull out the key themes and keywords will be highly beneficial to your success in the role.
