We are looking for an ambitious Content Editor who understands the news cycle and can produce content that drives digital organic performance.
Responsibilities Ideating and writing high-quality original content for a US-facing casino-based platform.
Finding newsworthy topics that align with the websites' strategic goals of driving organic traffic for casinos, slots, and gambling-related keywords.
Editing evergreen news articles promptly to maximize commercial goals and company strategies.
Continually suggesting new and exciting ways to engage and form relationships through content development.
Working with stakeholders and product owners to deliver original content that aligns with content calendars, news requirements, product updates, and website development.
Generating new leads and contacts to develop new stories locally and nationally for the gambling industry.
Working with management and the marketing team to develop a strategy and schedule for content to align with company KPIs and strategic goals.
Uploading and managing content within the CMS to ensure accuracy and consistency.
Performing data sourcing and analysis.
Optimizing copy and data using knowledge of SEO, internal company SEO teams, persuasion techniques, or branding strategies, depending on the occasion.
Requirements 2+ years of experience writing unique content for a wide array of marketing.
Experience in individually writing and researching newsworthy topics (bonus if in the gambling industry, especially casino-related) Experienced in working within digital content writing (bonus if in the gambling industry).
Interest in gambling, casino games, betting, and entertainment.
Knowledge of where to look for breaking news topics across various industries (bonus if in the gambling industry) Understanding of creating and managing a content calendar Experience in editing and publishing management across SEO content.
An excellent writer and communicator.
Flawless writing in English with a keen eye for detail and accuracy.
Demonstrated experience in content management systems.
Demonstrated experience in creating content and editorial products.
Basic understanding of SEO best practices for growing onsite traffic.
Basic knowledge of HTML.
Bonus: Existing audience on Twitter or other social platforms.
Desirable Skills Journalistic background and/or experience working on a news desk.
Efficiency with tools for crafting copy, transcription, or improving general workflow efficiency.
