Director - Management Consultancy Public Sector - London - Hybrid We're seeking an experienced Consulting Director to lead transformative programs and drive growth within our client's Government & Public Sector practice.
You will have the opportunity to develop strategy, oversee impactful projects, and shape the success of this critical sector within a leading consultancy.

You'll be collaborating with senior leaders to shape the vision and strategy, building client relationships, leading high-impact engagements, and fostering growth in one of the most dynamic sectors.

Responsibilities: Strategic Leadership: Define and execute strategies to expand client relationships, oversee accounts, and deliver tailored solutions for Government & Public Sector clients.
Innovative Problem-Solving: Address complex challenges with creative, practical solutions that deliver measurable value.
Business Growth: Identify and pitch new opportunities, leveraging expertise across diverse practices, including Strategy, Technology, People & Change, Experience Design, Process and Business Analysis, Data & Analytics, and Programme and Project Management.
Team Development: Lead and mentor teams of consultants, ensuring successful project delivery while supporting their professional growth.
Sector Thought Leadership: Represent the practice through thought leadership, networking, speaking engagements, and contributions to industry forums.
Community Engagement: Participate in or lead community-based projects to give back meaningfully to the local area.
Continuous Learning: Leverage training programs and innovation initiatives to refine skills and expand expertise.
Skills & Qualifications Consulting Expertise: Proven leadership experience in management consulting, professional services, or Big 4 environments.
Prior work within the Government & Public Sector is essential.
Strategic Insight: A track record of designing and delivering strategies that address client challenges and generate long-term success.
Client Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trust, consensus, and collaboration with senior-level stakeholders.
Business Development Acumen: Success in growing client accounts, securing new opportunities, and delivering compelling proposals.
Team Leadership: Experience in building and leading high-performing teams, with a focus on driving meaningful outcomes.
Project Delivery: Expertise in managing complex consulting engagements, meeting business goals, and exceeding client expectations.
Communication Skills: Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities, complemented by self-awareness and a collaborative mindset.
Educational Credentials: A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required; advanced degrees or certifications are advantageous.
