We are looking for a pro-active, self-motivated, and dynamic Consultant Risk Control and Partnering to join our small and friendly Customer, Brand and Engagement Risk team.
This is an exciting opportunity to expand your risk management expertise while supporting an expanding high performing and increasingly innovative function deliver its objectives safely.
The role brings a fantastic opportunity to build a network with stakeholders, through the facilitation of a number of cross-function risk and control activities, such as quality assurance on the end to end communications process and producing value-adding MI to feed into the function's Risk Committee.

What you'll be doing Proportionate risk management underpins the activity across the CB&E function.
You will be working alongside your colleagues in CB&E Risk to provide guidance and support in identifying, assessing, managing and monitoring risks, ensuring the voice of the customer remains at the forefront.
You will play a pivotal role in maintaining the CB&E Risk team's Horizon plan, utilising the wider function's plans to support a holistic risk view and enabling the team to properly plan and resource according to the type of activity and level of risk exposure.
Main responsibilities will be: Supporting and managing cross-team risk and control activities, ensuring timely and value-adding delivery.
To include the oversight of the Risk Toleration and Risk Assessment processes, ensuring risk considerations are robustly assessed and recorded.
Providing subject matter expertise across all levels within CB&E, including Directors and their leadership teams.
Facilitating a clear and comprehensive plan of activity, incorporating key deliverables from across the three Lines of Defence, policy refreshes, change programmes and key activities across the function which have a risk and control implication.
Completing gap analyses against policy refreshes, assessing impact on the risk profile, supporting the team to implement and track control improvement plans where required.
Support with reviews from Audit, Compliance, Chief Controls Office and our regulators, supporting the assessment of and subsequent management of control improvements required.
Supporting the Governance & Controls Manager on an ad-hoc basis on cross-functional governance activity.
About you As a minimum requirement you'll need to have: Experience within financial services Experience working in a first line regulatory environment The ability to analyse information and produce concise and informative reports and presentations Experience in providing accurate and expert regulatory and risk advice A logical, inquisitive mind with an interest in regulations, policies and processes Strong relationship management and influencing skills, to help build trust and maintain relationships with a variety of stakeholders across the business and externally Our Customer First behaviours are all about putting customers and members at the heart of how we work together.
