This post holder will have joint General Medical and Rheumatology job is a full-time post comprising 10 Programmed Activities (PAs).

The post holder will demonstrate a firm commitment to clinical governance, clinical audit and risk management by the development of systems to ensure the highest standards of patient care are achieved and maintained.
Main duties of the job The post holder will be responsible for the maintenance of the highest clinical standards in the management of all patients under their team.
The appointee will be sharing with medical, nursing and administrative colleagues, responsibility for the day-today management of Rheumatic diseases.

Job description Job responsibilities Provide consultant medical services to patientsadmitted to the Rheumatology and GIM ward supervise junior doctors involved in the care of these patients provide Rheumatology services for the trustwhich includes delivering outpatient clinics, supporting specialist nurses, supporting day unit and seeing inpatient referrals.

Person specification Education and Qualifications Essential criteria MBBS or Basic Medical Degree MRCP or equivalent Full GMC registration Desirable criteria MD/PhD Experience & Knowledge Essential criteria Clinical training and experience equivalent to that required for gaining UK CCT in Rheumatology Ability to provide expert clinical opinion across a wide range of problems within General Medicine.
