Main duties of the job The job plans are for 10 Programmed Activities - 8.5 Direct Clinical Care and 1.5 Supporting Professional Activity (1.5 Core SPA).
Additional SPA is available for additional roles in the department (Clinical/Educational Supervisor etc.).
There is a local agreement at WUTH that an additional 2 hours per week SPA are accommodated in monthly audit sessions and teaching during DCC commitments.
Flexible and partial remote working patterns are readily considered.
The successful diagnostic candidate will participate in the diagnostic on-call rota and will provide weekend working sessions as part of their DCC.
There is a 1 PA weekly allowance for diagnostic on-call duties and weekend working time.
The diagnostic consultant on call is 2nd on call.
1st on call is a combination of the regional registrar hub and evening/overnight outsourcing company.
Interventional on call is shared with The Countess of Chester Hospital and is 1st on call.
The successful candidate will be expected to take an active role in service development and redesign as well as collaboration with other local service providers.

Person SpecificationQualifications Entry onto the Specialist Register for GMC or be within six months of obtaining CCT/CCST/CESR Training Should have completed training in radiology within a recognised training programme Higher level subspecialty training Clinical Experience in Specialty / Subspecialty Evidence of continuous career progression consistent with personal circumstances.
Demonstrable competencies in general radiology across Radiography/Ultrasound/CT and MRI.
Demonstrate evidence of higher level training in relevant subspecialties as per the Job Description.
