Job summary The Humberside Breast Screening Unit has expanded over recent years in both symptomatic breast imaging and breast screening.
The Department is looking to appoint a Consultant Radiographer Practitioner who will support the continuing delivery of a high specification service.
The successful applicant must hold a Radiography degree or equivalent, current HCPC Registration and an MSc in Breast Imaging, with demonstrated clinical skill in the areas of Mammography Film Reading, Interventional Breast Techniques and Breast Ultrasound.
Experience in a screening environment to include assessment clinics is desirable.

Main duties of the job The post holder will deliver autonomous clinical practice to an equivalent level of a Consultant Radiologist.Duties will involve being the imaging lead for breast symptomatic new and follow up clinics, family history clinics and assessment clinics, to include ultrasound, biopsy and localisation procedures.
This will include interpretation of, and reporting of all mammographic and ultrasound imaging of the breast and axillae.They will also be responsible for aspiration and breast lesion localizations, needle core biopsies and vacuum assisted procedures under x-ray and ultrasound guidance.
The CRP will fulfil the quality standards required by the National Health Breast Screening Programme [NHSBSP] and confirm this by undertaking audit and clinical governance activities.
