Job summary Are you a Consultant Psychiatrist interested in a new challenge and interested in being a part of the delivery and further development of ground-breaking Mental Health Services?The Trust is seeking to recruit an Adult of Working Age Community Consultant.
The post holder will be based at the Elms Centre in Banbury and will work as part of the wider North and West Consultant Leadership TeamCome and join a team that is part of the well-established community mental health serviceThis services forms part of the Adult patient pathway and works in conjunction with our Inpatient teams, crisis resolution and home treatment teams, as well as early intervention**ADDITIONAL BENEFIT PACKAGE **We offer a £15,000 recruitment bonus and a relocation allowance up to £8,000 to eligible successful candidates (Ts & Cs apply) Main duties of the job You will work alongside a dynamic multidisciplinary team made up of a variety of individuals and professions including psychiatrists, psychologists, community psychiatric nurses, approved social workers, occupational therapists, and support workers, providing the individual with a whole range of support and care to enable the service users pathway to recovery and to provide patient centred care.We are offering exciting opportunities to combine leadership, management, clinical/educational supervisor, and safeguarding lead roles with clinical duties, and we support flexible working practices.We work as part of a multi-disciplinary team with a strong and supportive clinical network of Consultants underpinned by a culture of compassionate leadership and are committed to both staff development and job enrichment.

Job description Job responsibilities Please refer to the attached Job description for more details about the main responsibilities of the role and about the trust Person Specification Qualifications Essential oMembership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent qualification (in accordance with Royal College of Psychiatrist's Guidelines) oApproved clinician Status and section 12(MHA) Approval are essential.
Candidates who are in the process of getting AC approval will be considered.
Eligibility for Section 12 (Mental Health Act) Approval Desirable oHigher degree or equivalent in relevant field of medical, psychological, or other studies or postgraduate teaching qualification Training Essential oHigher specialist training in general adult psychiatry approved training post for a minimum of three years, equivalent training in another country, or previous consultant experience relevant to this post oCCT in Psychiatry; OR Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry; OR within six months of achieving CCT at the time of interview; OR CESR Desirable oSub-speciality or other specialist clinical training relevant to post Clinical Experience Essential oExperience of close collaborative work with social care and other agencies Desirable oApplication of evidence-based practice and interest in clinical and policy developments for this care group oDevelopment of close collaboration with primary care services oExperience of the full range of clinical responsibilities expected of a consultant in this specialty Ability Essential oAbility to undertake full range of consultant responsibilities Skills and Knowledge Essential oAbility to work within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework, and to share leadership responsibilities with senior colleagues of other professions oAbility to understand how organisations work most effectively oCommitment to active clinical governance oAbility to promote effective team working oCapacity to prioritise workload oActive participation in clinical audit oCommitment to interagency partnership working oMust have good skills in communication with patients, relatives, colleagues, and staff of other organisations.

oMust have interest in and commitment to people with mental health problems, and their carers.
oExperience in teaching core psychiatric trainees or other post graduate medics.
oApplication of research evidence to clinical practice Desirable oRelevant experience of the administrative, management and leadership roles of senior medical staff oInter-agency partnership working and development oUndergraduate and postgraduate medical teaching.
oSupervision of advanced level trainees oResearch experience and skills oExperience in supervising and teaching core psychiatric trainees Research Essential oResearch experience in mental health.

Desirable oHigh quality research as evidenced by publications and citations.
