Consultant in Intellectual Disability.
In this important service, you will provide clinical leadership and care for individuals with co-occurring mental illness and intellectual or neurodevelopmental disabilities.
You'll be part of a supportive team that values innovation, education, and high-quality patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities Lead a multidisciplinary team and provide expert clinical care.
Supervise and educate registrars, junior doctors, and other healthcare professionals.
Collaborate with different teams across this metropolitan health service to enhance care for people with intellectual and neurodevelopmental disabilities.
Participate in quality improvement initiatives and research.
Selection Criteria Experience in Psychiatry, particularly intellectual disability and neurodevelopmental disorders.
Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent gained in UK or Ireland.
Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
A desire and commitment to support both patients and their families/carers.
Willingness to participate in education activities.
Clinical governance experience.
