About The Role

UNLOCK YOUR BEST WORK LIFE MAKE A DIFFERENCE TO EVERY LIFE We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our integrated Mental Health team at HMP Five Wells. HMP Five Wells is a category C resettlement prison based in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, and houses around 1,687 patients. Within this role, you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team and will be supported by a second Psychiatrist who is also our national psychiatry lead.

Hours
This role is part time offering either 2/3 working days per week. Shifts are based between Monday to Friday 9am-5pm.

Salary
This position is part time either 15 or 22.5 hours per week, you'll receive an annual salary up to £180,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

What you'll be doing As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary. You will:

Provide excellent clinical care, assessment, and treatment to patients on the case load onsite Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments, and provide clinical supervision Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews. Qualifications required Registered professional with current registration (GMC) Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983 Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Up to date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy, and legislation Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
