This is a temporary Consultant Psychiatrist role at Elysium Healthcare's Cotswold Spa Hospital, a small and established CAMHS Eating Disorder service in Worcestershire.
The role involves leading a team of professionals to provide high-quality care for 12 young people with eating disorders, as well as collaborating with NHS clinicians and commissioners.

Main duties of the job As a Consultant Psychiatrist, you will be responsible for ensuring that people admitted to the Cotswold Spa Hospital are assessed, treated, and discharged safely.
This includes medication management, quality assurance, complaints and co-production, and the delivery of NICE guidance.
You will also lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards.
Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, you will be the clinical expert from a medical perspective, supporting the team and collaborating with NHS clinicians and commissioners.

As a Specialist in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry, you'll know how to best help the twelve young people with eating disorders in our care (plus 4 additional day service users).
Working 37.5 hours a week over 4 or 5 days alongside the multidisciplinary team, you will be the clinical expert from a medical perspective to ensure best practice care is delivered whilst supporting the team.
You will also work collaboratively with NHS clinicians and commissioners.
Key Responsibilities of the Consultant Psychiatrist include: Ensure that people admitted are assessed, treated, and discharged safely Medication management Quality assurance, complaints and co-production Delivery of NICE guidance Lead and manage the CPA and ICR process to ensure full compliance with quality standards Essential qualifications and experience MBBS or equivalent medical qualification Full GMC registration with licence to practice MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent approved by the Royal College of Psychiatrists On the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or be accepted within 6 months Section 12(2) approval, Approved Clinician status Clinical training and experience required for gaining UK CCT.

Person SpecificationQualifications The essential qualifications and experience for this role include an MBBS or equivalent medical qualification, full GMC registration with a licence to practice, MRCPsych or MRCPsych equivalent, and being on the Specialist Register for Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or accepted within 6 months.
You must also have Section 12(2) approval, Approved Clinician status, and clinical training and experience required for gaining a UK CCT.
Widespread and detailed experience in the assessment and management of patients in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry is also required, as well as the ability to take full and independent responsibility for clinical care.
