This role offers a fantastic opportunity for Consultant Psychiatrist to work across 2 different patients groups.
Successful applicant will be familiar working with adult mental health presentations, delivering medication reviews, hospital referrals and psychiatric support for complex historic trauma.
You will be working collaboratively with 2 established GP and mental health teams on site which include a mental health specific Advanced Clinical Practitioner.
Hours 1 day per week at HMP Onley 2 days per week at HMP Rye Hill We are flexible regarding which days these sit across Monday to Friday, there are no on call hours within this role.
Salary This position is part time working hours per week youll receive an annual salary up to £180,000 per annum FTE - depending on experience.

You will be part of a team of 15 plus experienced and supportive Consultant psychiatrists You will be able to attend monthly Consultant's meeting and 1:1 clinical supervision.
Bespoke induction, including our Introducing Health in Justice training course Competency framework Main duties of the job As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary.
You will Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi professional complex case reviews.

Qualifications required Registered professional with current registration (GMC) Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983 Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working Up to date knowledge in the adult psychiatry and PD Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation Secure environments are one of the most challenging, yet rewarding places for healthcare professionals to work.
