Consultant Psychiatrist

We have an exciting opportunity for a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our Yorkshire Region, working across our West Yorkshire sites consisting of HMP Leeds Category B remand, HMP Wakefield Category A and HMP Wealstun Category C. Within this role you will be working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team across all 3 sites.

Hours Monday to Friday 9am-5.30pm.
We can offer some flexibility with shift times if required.
This position is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, you'll receive an annual salary up to £189,900 per annum - depending on experience.

Main duties of the job As a Consultant Psychiatrist, your responsibilities will vary.
You will: Provide excellent clinical care, assessment and treatment to patients on the case load onsite.
Actively participate in the strategic direction of the mental health service, lead the senior mental health clinicians on service developments and provide clinical supervision.
Work within the multi-disciplinary team to review referrals, determine appropriate treatment plans, conduct risk assessments, and engage in multi-professional complex case reviews.

Qualifications required Registered professional with current registration (GMC).
Specialist Registration in either General Adult or Forensic Psychiatry.
Approved under section 12 (2) of the MHS 1983.
Understanding of the complexities of multi-disciplinary and multi-agency working.
Up to date knowledge in adult psychiatry and PD.
Awareness of current issues in mental health service provision, policy and legislation.
