Role Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Consultant Psychiatrist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership and expertise in the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with a variety of psychiatric disorders. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a supportive and collaborative environment, where your contributions will directly influence patient outcomes and service development.
Key Responsibilities: Conduct comprehensive psychiatric assessments and develop individualised treatment plans.Provide expert clinical care for patients with complex mental health issues.Lead multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated care.Participate in the development and implementation of innovative treatment programs.Offer clinical supervision and mentorship to junior medical staff and trainees.Engage in continuous professional development and contribute to the academic and research activities of Nelson House.Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and best practice guidelines.Qualifications and Experience: Medical degree and full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC).CCT in Psychiatry or equivalent qualification.Extensive experience in the assessment and management of psychiatric disorders.Strong leadership and communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.Benefits: Free parking.Opportunities for professional development and career progression.Supportive work environment with a focus on work-life balance.Staff wellbeing initiatives which include an Employee Assistance Programme, a staff recognition scheme, and psychology-led support group.Priory Healthcare provides a programme of educational activities for Doctors, PDP groups are supported, and other CPD activities are actively encouraged.
