Gloucestershire Health and Care NHS Foundation TrustWe are excited to advertise a full-time Consultant Psychiatrist to provide clinical leadership to the Inpatient Wotton Lawn Hospital based in Gloucester. This post has become available due to a Consultant Psychiatrist moving roles internally.
Wotton Lawn Hospital in Gloucester has 66 acute beds and a 10-bedded intensive care unit. Dean Ward is a 15-bed all-female ward covering patients from the Gloucester community, with admissions being through the Gloucester Crisis team.
Main Duties of the JobYou will provide senior clinical leadership to Dean Ward, which will include working with medical colleagues, the wider MDT, and the patient's supporting system. The role will involve both direct patient contact and consultation/supervision of others.
You will be the Responsible Clinician for your inpatients and will be expected to exercise RC responsibilities in accordance with the Code of Practice. A key responsibility will be providing written and oral evidence at Mental Health Act Managers' Meetings and Review Tribunals.
