Herefordshire and Worcestershire Health and Care NHS TrustThis exciting appointment is for a newly developed Consultant Psychiatrist (10 PAs) post working within our CAMHS Learning Disability Service.
The post-holder will provide a consistent and child-centred provision into the CAMHS Learning Disability Service.
The post is substantive with 10 PAs per week being offered.
The service operates Monday to Friday, with working hours primarily between 9am and 5pm.
There is no on-call rota associated with this post.
The CAMHS LD service is a friendly, multi-disciplinary team that includes specialist CAMHS clinicians, psychologists and medical colleagues.
The base for this position will be discussed and agreed at interview and could be anywhere across the two Counties including Hereford, Worcester, or Kidderminster.
This post has been deemed by the Trust as eligible for relocation expenses which will be applicable for suitable successful candidate(s).

Person SpecificationAdditional criteriaAble to meet the travel requirements of the role.ExperienceExcellent clinical skills using bio-psycho-social perspective and wide medical knowledgeExcellent oral and written communication skills in EnglishAble to manage clinical complexity and uncertaintyMakes decisions based on evidence and experience including the contribution of othersAble to meet duties under MHA and MCAProvision of high-quality mental health services, as trainee or ConsultantPrevious experience of working in a clinical leadership role with positive relationships with team members.Knowledge about the NHS and understanding the evidence base underpinning the delivery of high-quality services.Ability to manage, improve or to support the clinical operations of the service.Understanding of the importance of excellent team working relationships and ability to put this into practice.Knowledge about mental health policy with ability to think strategically and manage change.Ability to work independently, methodically and safely.QualificationsMB BS or equivalent medical qualification.Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at the time of appointment.Included on the GMC Specialist Register OR within six months.Approved clinician status OR able to achieve within 3 months of appointment.Disclosure and Barring Service CheckThis post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
