Consultant Psychiatrist in Adult Mental Health (Acute Inpatient)Tees Esk and Wear Valleys NHS Foundation TrustThere is a vacancy for a full-time (10PA) consultant post to work in Cedar Ward, a Psychiatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at West Park Hospital in Darlington. This is a replacement post and an exciting opportunity to be part of a highly skilled multi-disciplinary team in a dynamic and specialised environment.
Cedar Ward is one of two PICUs within the trust, taking referrals for patients from Durham, Darlington, Easington, Northallerton, and Harrogate. The unit provides psychiatric intensive inpatient care to acutely unwell and disturbed clients, aged 16-65 years, requiring high levels of care.
Main Duties of the JobCedar Ward provides a multi-disciplinary service for clients whose psychiatric condition necessitates treatment in a controlled environment. The unit emphasises team working and is committed to Force Reduction drivers and enhancing the client experience of care.
