We have an excellent part-time / 3 days per week opportunity at Cygnet Hospital Bury.
The post holder will be the Responsible Clinician in our Female Low Secure and Deaf Service.
Lower West Ward is a 12-bedded low secure ward for women.
The service offers individualised assessment, care, and treatment of a wide range of mental disorders, alongside complex communication needs and supports both hearing and Deaf women.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team.
And you'll have the opportunity to progress to Medical Director level through our management schemes.
Main Duties of the JobYour Role Responsibilities Work as part of a multidisciplinary team (MDT)Take overall responsibility for patient treatment plans in conjunction with the MDTAssess referrals & undertake mental state examinations of service usersUndertake appropriate investigations, diagnosis & treatmentParticipate in ward rounds & clinical auditsLead the implementation of risk assessment, risk management & embed clinical governanceSupervise reports for Mental Health Act tribunals & managers hearings & attend hearingsParticipate in the second on-call rota (1 in 13 weekdays/ 1 in 15 weekends)About UsCygnet was established in 1988.
