We are currently recruiting to a CAMHS LD Consultant Psychiatrist position in the CAMHS Learning Disability Community Team, based at George Turle House, 54 London Road, Canterbury, CT2 8JY.
This is a replacement, substantive, full-time post - 10 PAs with PA DCC and SPA.
This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join a Specialty Doctor within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.

Job description Job responsibilities You will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Kent.
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.
Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative Work alongside a Specialty Doctor.
Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

Experience in strategic development Clinical Experience Essential Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders under children including neurodevelopment disorders Experience in managing patients from different cultural backgrounds.
Working with interpreters and translators.
Knowledge Essential Extensive knowledge of the biological, psychological, and social determinants of mental health disorders and evidencebased management interventions.
Up to date knowledge of recent DH documentation and NICE Guidelines Desirable An awareness of NHS Plan, NSF, and clinical governance priorities Clinical Skills Essential Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Familiarity with a wide range of theoretical and clinical approaches.
Ability to provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team.
Excellent clinical skills Desirable Clear thoughts on how to involve service users in service development and to provide a service which is experienced as being "service-user friendly".
