COMMUNITY CHILD AND ADOLESCENT LEARNING DISABILITY CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST (CANTERBURY - KENT) Before applying for this role, please read the following information about this opportunity found below.
Job Details: Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (Pro-rata) Contract: Substantive Hours: Full-time: 10 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 7.5:2.5) On call: Frequency 1:14; Category A - 3% on call supplement Location: George Turle House, 54 London Road, Canterbury, CT2 8JY Qualifications needed: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice CCT or equivalent Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST Main duties of the job: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Kent.
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.
Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
Work alongside a 0.6wte Specialty Doctor.
Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

Person Specification: Qualifications: CCT or equivalent Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST Clinical Experience: Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders under children including neurodevelopment disorders Experience in managing patients from different cultural backgrounds.
Working with interpreters and translators.
Knowledge: Extensive knowledge of the biological, psychological, and social determinants of mental health disorders and evidence-based management interventions.
Up to date knowledge of recent DH documentation and NICE Guidelines Clinical Skills: Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Familiarity with a wide range of theoretical and clinical approaches.
Ability to provide medical leadership to the multidisciplinary team and to function as an active member of the multi-disciplinary team.
