Job Details: Salary: £105,504 - £139,882 per annum (Pro-rata) Contract: Substantive Hours: Part-time: 8 Programmed Activities (DCC:SPA = 5.5:2.5) On call: Frequency 1:14 Category A - 3% on call supplement (pro-rata) Location: Lenworth Clinic, 329 Hythe Road, Ashford, Kent TN24 0QE Qualifications needed: Full GMC registration with a licence to practice CCT or equivalent Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST Main duties of the job You will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to children and young people with mental health needs, across Ashford.
Provide senior medical support and guidance to the team.
Work directly with young people and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external CAMHS mental health providers and acute hospitals.
Participate in the on-call rota frequency is currently 1:14, with a 3% of basic salary, Category A on-call supplement.
Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative.
Work alongside another full-time CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrist and 0.6wte Specialty Doctor.
Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential CCT or equivalent.
Section 12 Approval or eligibility for it.
Approved Clinician status, or eligibility for it.
Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST.
Desirable Masters or Doctorate degree.
A management qualification.
ECDL or equivalent qualification.
Experience in strategic development.
Clinical Experience Essential Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders under children including neurodevelopment disorders.
Experience in managing patients from different cultural backgrounds.
Working with interpreters and translators.
Knowledge Essential An awareness of NHS Plan, NSF, and clinical governance priorities.
Extensive knowledge of the biological, psychological, and social determinants of mental health disorders and evidence-based management interventions.
Desirable An understanding of Leadership and evidence of how this has been put into practice.
Clinical Skills Essential Excellent clinical skills.
Excellent communication skills both verbally and written.
Familiarity with a wide range of theoretical and clinical approaches.
Desirable Clear thoughts on how to involve service users in service development and to provide a service which is experienced as being service-user friendly.
