This hospital provides a wide range of inpatient mental health services for men and women including specialist deaf services and CAMHS provision for adolescents.
This is a full time position providing psychiatric care to inpatients and residents of Cygnet Hospital Bury.
Buttercup Ward is our 8 bedded CAMHS PICU service for young people aged 12-18 with severe mental illness.
Main duties of the jobThe service will focus on working with young people to understand their mental health and their risks and support their recovery, enabling them to be successfully discharged to a less restrictive environment.
Thus reducing the possibility of relapse and likelihood of requiring a secure service in the future.
The service is able to provide robust care and support for young people displaying significant levels of challenging behaviour.
In this role, your expertise will be the driving force for life-changing treatment fully supported by a Specialty Doctor and first-class multidisciplinary team.
And you'll have the opportunity to progress to Medical Director level through our management schemes.
