As a Consultant Psychiatrist in Old Age Psychiatry based in Ashford, you will join a dedicated and supportive team.
Ashford CMHSOP provides comprehensive psychiatric assessment and treatment services for the over 65-year-old population in the Ashford and Tenterden areas.
It offers assessment, diagnosis, and treatment for a full range of psychiatric conditions.
Main duties of the jobProvide psychiatric care to patients referred to Ashford CMHSOP, and provide senior medical leadership as part of the multidisciplinary team.Conduct MCA and MHA assessments, attend complex case discussions, CPA and 117 review meetings, and provide availability for urgent clinical matters.Attend daily RED Board and referral triage meetings, weekly clinical meetings, and monthly governance meetings.Contribute to team meetings and provide medical guidance to team members.Support the team in maintaining the MSNAP accreditation for their Memory Assessment Service.Working for our organisationWe are Kent and Medway NHS and Social Care Partnership Trust (KMPT), providing vital mental health, learning disability, and specialist services to a population of 1.8 million people across Kent and Medway.
