Your role will include:
Clinical: Working as the Consultant and Responsible Clinician as part of the MDTTake overall responsibility for patient care and treatment plans in conjunction with the MDTTimely assessment of referrals along with the MDTConducting Comprehensive Assessments and Treatment Planning with patients, external stakeholders, and carers.Chairing MDT/CPA Meetings; Adhering to organisational admission and discharge policy and procedures.Timely discharge GP notifications and discharge summaries.To contribute to the unit governance through expertise and leadership.Prepare and supervise reports for Mental Health Act Review Tribunals & Managers Hearings alongside giving evidence within these meetings.Participate in a non-resident second on call out of hour's rota with a frequency of no more than 1:7Management: Offering Clinical Leadership in collaboration with Ward ManagerEnsuring Ward is compliant with Organisational and Regulatory requirementsAttending ward governance meetings with ward managerWorking with organisational quality improvement (QPIs) initiativesAttending Monthly governance meetings.Academic: Attending monthly Academic meetingsCase presentations and teachingParticipation in audit, research, quality improvement initiativesPost requirements: MBBS or Equivalent Medical Degree and MRCPsych with s12/AC approvalFull GMC registration with license to practiceKnowledgeable of the Mental Health Act and Code of Practice, along with the Mental Capacity Act 2005 and Code of PracticeCommitted to continued professional developmentDesirable to have had significant experience of inpatient mental health acute units.Able to work collaboratively as a part of a multi-disciplinary teamCompany and Site Benefits: Generous annual leave entitlement with Birthday LeaveStudy leave & support with CPD opportunitiesSupportive consultant peer groupOpportunity to undertake further learning & developmentMedical indemnity coverFree onsite parkingSubsidised lunchesOnline benefits and cashback rewardsFor further information please contact: ******
