Main duties of the job We are in the process of creating a specialist ARFID pathway and team working with 0 - 18 year olds and their families.

Our multi-disciplinary team includes Clinical Psychology, Nursing, Dietetic, Psychiatry, CAMHS Practitioner and Paediatric posts, supported by a friendly Admin Team.
As a Consultant Paediatrician you will be making an active contribution to our multi-disciplinary approach to assessment and treatment for young people with ARFID and related eating difficulties.
Our interventions are formulation-based and in line with the latest evidence as well as national and international guidance.
Our approach involves a combination of mental health, dietetic and medical input, with multi-disciplinary, multi-modal care packages tailored according to individual need.
You will be part of a cutting-edge service at the forefront of developments for people with ARFID and committed to improving care for this patient group.
You will have the opportunity to be involved in our training activities alongside delivering evidence-based interventions.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Full registration with the GMC with licence to practice.
Name on Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCT date, and is expected to achieve a CCT Registered Medical Practitioner Entry on the Specialist Register in Paediatrics or be within six months of attaining a Certificate of Completion of Training at the time of interview.
MRCPCH or equivalent MBBS or equivalent Registerable medical qualification Desirable Other higher degree or diploma (, MD) Experience Essential 3 years as a doctor post registration 6 months in relevant specialism Wide experience in all aspects of general paediatrics, culminating in award of CCT or equivalent.
Specialist training in general paediatrics Evidenced Level 3 safeguarding training Experience in day to day organisation of general paediatric services Desirable Experience caring for children with eating disorders Specialist interest in nutrition Experience of implementing service change to enhance the quality of patient care.
