Consultant Materials Engineer (Metallurgy)

Consultant - Materials Engineer (Metallurgy) – Circa £55k depending on skills and experience, hybrid working available, based in Barrow-in-Furness, Cumbria.
Pension & Enhanced Leave allowance of 25 days plus bank holidays available.

Required experience: Essential:
Qualified to degree level (BEng/BSc) in metallurgy or materials science Detailed knowledge on ferrous and non-ferrous metallurgy Detailed knowledge and experience on metal forming and processing Experience of working with and developing a team of metallurgists Experience in the development and maintenance of metallurgical related workmanship Standards and Process Instructions Detailed knowledge of the capability and use of Metallurgical Mechanical and Metallographic testing My client are a large and rapidly expanding global Defence company looking for a Consultant - Materials Engineer (Metallurgy) to become the authority in manufacture of metallic parts (Forgings, Castings and Rolling) for an ongoing Submarine programme.
