We are currently recruiting to a Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine position, in the NELFT Regional Prosthetics Service, based at Mayflower Community Hospital, Blunts Wall Road, Billericay, Essex, CM12 9SA.
This is a well-established, substantive, full-time role - 10 PAs, of which DCCs and SPAs.
This post is currently filled by a locum Consultant, but we wish to recruit to this role substantively as soon as possible.
You will join a multidisciplinary team within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.
Job description Job responsibilities You will be expected to: Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to people with limb difference or limb loss needs, across North-East Thames, Essex, and North Hertfordshire.
Provide senior medical support to the team, and direct input on clinal cases Provide guidance and supervision to the team Work directly with patients and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external health providers and acute hospitals Support your peers and team leader, and be an effective team member whilst allowing them to work with their own initiative Commit to collaborative working, actively supporting and liaising with other health and social professionals, and agencies Person Specification GMC Essential Full GMC registration with a licence to practice Qualifications Essential CCT or equivalent Specialist Register Essential Inclusion in, or eligibility for inclusion in, the Specialist Register or within 6 months of obtaining CCST
