We are looking for 3.3 WTE consultant psychiatrists to provide clinical leadership to the South Bucks OA CMHT. The posts have become available after previous postholders departed the service and these substantive posts will replace agency locum cover. The post holders will work closely with consultant psychiatrist colleagues (total 3.3 WTE) within the team. The team base is at Saffron House, High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire.
Main duties of the job The South Bucks OA CMHT serves a total population of approximately 57,000 adults over the age of 65 and sees all patients in this age group with both functional and organic mental illness. The post holders will be expected to see patients in the community, out-patients (including memory clinic) and occasional liaison patients. The post-holders will undertake one outpatient clinic per week (maximum two new patients or up to five follow-up patients) and one Memory Assessment Service clinic per week (with the same maximum patient numbers). In addition, the post holders will be expected to provide clinical leadership to the wider CMHT. Oxford Health supports New Ways of Working for Consultant Psychiatrists.

Person Specification Qualifications Essential Membership or Fellowship of the Royal College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent qualification (in accordance with Royal College of Psychiatrist's Guidelines) Approved clinician Status and Section 12( MHA) approval are essential.
