This post will have a specialist interest in Stroke and support Acute Frailty services either directly or through other subspecialty support.
The Countess of Chester Hospital NHS FT is an RCP Future Hospital exemplar site and continues to transform its urgent care pathways, by working closely with our community health and social care providers, as well as Western Cheshire CCG to deliver an integrated model that increases the utilisation of ambulatory and short stay care whilst supporting enhanced care delivery within the community.
The Trust has a strong Medical Education department and the post holder would have a significant educational role.
Main duties of the jobThe appointee will be expected to have a specialist interest of stroke and Acute Geriatrics.
The post is to support an already successful Acute Geriatrics Team based within The Countess of Chester.
The job plan rotates through General Geriatrics cover and Stroke Medicine cover as outlined in the indicative job plan.
