A604 offers the ideal place to develop your skills and grow your confidence in a supported and collaborative setting.We offer exceptional Training & Development opportunities : A dedicated Practice Education Facilitator (PEF) will work alongside you to enhance your surgical and medical skills, providing tailored support and guidance.Twice-weekly ward-based teaching sessions to expand your knowledge and confidence.Access to the Ward Survival Guide Study Day to support your transition during the first months post-qualification.Further learning opportunities, including the Trauma & Orthopaedic Study Day to achieve T&O-specific competencies.Mentoring by experienced staff and ongoing support from the senior nursing team.
Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to develop measurable patient care plans/goals, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care from admission to discharge or transfer.Take responsibility for the clinical needs of a defined group of patients, prioritising workload based on clinical urgency over a 24-hour period.Provide pre- and post-operative care, including preparing patients for surgery, limb observations, and wound care.
